What Are We Learning?

Reading

  • (K.5 Comprehension, K.6 Response, K.7/K.8 Multiple Genres, K.9 Author's Purpose/Craft) Asking and Answering Questions

  • K.1A Listen actively/ask and answer questions;

Phonics

  • K.2E Develop handwriting/accurately form letters;

  • K.2A(x) Segment words into phonemes;

  • K.2B(iii) Recognize that new words are created when letters are changed/added/deleted;

  • K.2C(i) Spell words with VC, CVC, and CCVC; K.2C(ii) Spell words using sound-spelling patterns;


Math

  • K.3(a) - model the action of joining to represent addition and the action of separating to represent subtraction.

  • K.3(b) - solve word problems using objects and drawings to find sums up to 10 and differences within 10. 

  • K.3(c) - explain the strategies used to solve problems involving adding and subtracting within 10 using spoken words, concrete and pictorial models, and number sentences. 

Science

  • K.9(B) Examine evidence that living organisms have basic needs such as food, water, and shelter for animals and air, water, nutrients, sunlight, and space for plants.

Notify your child's teacher of any transportation changes by 2 pm.

Please be aware that ALL visitors on campus must have a photo ID to show before entering the school.
